As a District Sales Manager, you will drive the sales performance in Marketing and Sales, Electrification Smart Buildings in Atlanta, Georgia, specifying and implementing effective sales and business development initiatives in line with global strategy. In this role you will be responsible for directing the implementation of aggressive measures to achieve sales of products, systems and services in the assigned District. You will also ensure that an individual BU sales targets are met or exceeded and that net margin maximizes profits within the District. You will oversee District planning by NEMA territory and product categories to ensure that strategies are aligned with corporate growth objectives. Develop strategies to increase digital acumen in sales teams and secure digital product and subscription contracts. You will also hold the roles of C&I Area Manager in Districts with less than 10 C&I direct sales people and District Distribution Manager in smaller Districts.

Your responsibilities

  • Assess Performance with annual performance reviews for all District personnel
  • Creates development plan for all employees in District including technical and professional training
  • Manages balanced sales scorecard. Track performances for all BU's (Business Units) and make sure each one is living up to the expectations of the District. Focused share growth by BU and customer segment
  • Coaching of sales resources to make wiser decisions, plan better and effectively allocate their resources based on customer needs and potential for growth
  • Monthly Review of local performance of all Distributors and Rep companies
  • Quarterly plan review with Top 10 district tier 1 distributors
  • Provide consistent disciplined interpretation and enforcement of ABB distributor policy
  • Approve Annual Distributor and Rep performance assessment utilizing standard templates
  • Escalation point and final say on direct or sale channel commercial decisions
  • DM (District Manager) will be responsible for top local accounts relationship and results
  • Develop stronger Top Named account relationships within territory to drive penetration strategy and provide a customer management relationship
  • Implementation of all Named Account Plans jointly developed with Named Account Managers and review and document activity on monthly basis
  • Develop stronger Top Named account relationships within territory to drive penetration strategy and provide a customer management relationship
  • Responsible to coordinate with all ABB sales organizations within the District territory on Distribution plans, cross Divisional account pursuits assigning capture team leaders
Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing or business administration or technical field or advanced degree desirable with minimum of 10 years related experience
  • Sales experience of a 35 Million Dollars plus business
  • Exceptional analytical, communication and leadership skills
  • Senior Account Management experience
  • Understanding and experience with full portfolio of products and services (including power distribution one line and installation products)
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
