BUSINESS ANALYST- LOSS MIT POLICY ANALYST

Overview

The Loss Mitigation Default Analyst performs all the responsibilities of a Business Analyst but has a very specific focus on updating and supporting the proprietary company CALCULATOR for workout rules underwriting related to loss mitigation options. This includes but is not limited to the intake of regulatory state and federal programs, proactive compliance reviews of published policies and the subsequent translation into business requirements as related to Loss Mitigation workouts.

Responsibilities

Stay current with industry compliance related regulations by consuming updates, documenting, translating and breaking them into business specific requirements for use by all internal teams with the goal of keeping the proprietary CALCULATOR software current.

Maintain the requirements database and traceability to Product Backlog items (PBIs).

Collaborate with Architecture and other technical teams to come up with innovative and scalable functional design plans using software features specifically the CALCULATOR and supporting workflows.

Communicate solution design plans to internal and external sponsors using prescribed functional design formats.

Support internal and external teams during development, testing and implementation phases of provided designs.

Act as subject matter expert and liaison between all of the teams on the Loss Mitigation options within the company software

Continually seek opportunities to increase efficiencies through design and implementation of new methodologies and solutions.

Assist with client ticket research related to workout options and learn the company CALCULATOR and how it is used by the customers.

Qualifications

Proven analytical, critical thinking, calculation based financial analysis and problem-solving skills with ability to translate client needs into business requirements.

Possess an in-depth understanding of organizational data flow and its use in management decision-making.

Self-motivated and possess the ability to multi-task in a highly entrepreneurial environment.

Effective presentation and communication skills with the talent to develop relationships that foster internal and client trust.

Experience with a requirements management application.

Requirements

4-year college degree.

2-3 years experience in the Mortgage Industry, preferred on the Mortgage Servicing Default side with exposure to Loss Mitigation Strategies.

3-5 years experience working as an analyst on software products and aligning business requirements. Need some experience with Saas based products.

Must have experience working in an Agile environment
